curviceps is much like the keyhole cichlid in temprement ... it's a shy, slightly reclusive cichlid. A good one to 'cut your teeth on' if you are thinking of keeping cichlids. I saw the Bolivians as one step up in temprement - easy going but slightly more boisterous. I'm glad I had these two first before going down the angelfish route. Had I of seen angelfish breeding aggression first it would have put me off cichlids for life!!
At one point I had three cichlid types in my Rio 180. A neighbour dumped two angels on me at the point that the rams and curviceps were breeding .... the war that broke out was too much and I re-homed the angels. I couldn't cope. Once they went relative calm returned again
