are neon tetras compatable with zebra danios

yes they are just make sure you get a group of 6 or more as they like the company of their own kind. HTH

recently introduced 12 neons with 6 zebra's the zebras would single out one neon and chase it till it died then choose a new target. I eventually had to move the danios after they killed off a few carddinals, neons and cherry barbs.

Wow Sky, I never had that happen with neons and zebras. I had a serpae that used to chase this one other particular serpae. I felt bad for the poor guy as he was always hiding. And the one that was being chased was the larger of the two as well. That is interesting.

Have other folks encountered similar situation? I am planning on having both in my new tank.

yep just have them in groups (group therapy is good) zebras and noens are schooling fish so they like to be in a group and it keeps any aggression within the school or they just use that extra energy to show-off

yeah i have 6 danios and im going for like 10 neons.
