Are My Platys Ready To Drop..?

I am new to pregnant fish as i have never had both sex live bearers before. i have 3 platys 2 female 1 male, the 2 female have been getting quite big over the last few weeks but have seemed fine in themselves just getting a little hassle from the male typically! the last 2 or 3 days the larger of the 2 seems ok but then goes and hides amongst the plants almost like a new fish does when first added to the tank. and last night the smaller 1 did it too but the male followed and they were in the corner next to the filter intake.
on the larger female i can see a white spot (not ich) next to the anal fin, does this mean its about ready to give birth? is this why they are behaving slightly abnormal?

Sounds like she's quite close to dropping,the male tend to follow them either to eat the fry and/or be first to mate
Does she look squarish on her belly?

just been watching and a just saw fry...... dont know how many but i saw at least 2! how many on average do they have? dont think they will survice in the tank and its too late to catch them though........

well all platies do vary,mine has been averaging about 20ish on a drop although they could've had more but have been eaten. they could have anything from a few to as many has 80

oooooh ill keep my eye open for them then it would be nice to raise my own fish.....

A normal drop for a normal platy is usually around 20 fry, but if you get lucky they can have a lot more.

A platy will drop from 20 to 50 fry in a single drop.
