Are My Oscsars Breeding?

my oscars have been clearin the gravel off the bottom ,making like a big ditch .the bottom is completely clear of gravel and it is like a nest would look
one of them is constantly hovering over the area and the other makes sure my plec gets nowhere near
i dont want to tidy the tank and disturb them,but im not too sure if this is what they are doing

any help will be appreciated

Sounds like they thinking of it, out a flate slate down in the nest area as they prefer a flat surface to spawn on.

My Oscars breed usualy every 3-4 weeks but they never get past wigglers, so good luck and start thinking of a rearing tank if you rearly want to rear some fry.

It does sound like they are giving it a dry run. When my female was ready to lay eggs inside her mouth would turn pink and she would start huffing and puffing
