ARE KNIFEFISH ELECTRIC?

If your info is right ie turn off appliances and no shock then be careful eh? you have the potential there to take a 120v or 240v (depending on country) shock! the level of shock only depends on how well your earthed at the time.

Thanks for that, I have two heaters in the tank and whenever i turn everything off and only have either one of the heaters on I get a shock so its definately them.

The heaters are only 1 year old, how long are they supposed to last and can anyone from the UK recommend a good quality heater?

So I take it a grounding probe wont work in this case then coz its only earthing the high current straight onto some metal and really wont solve the problem.

Anyway any help or advice on the heater thing would be appreciated.

Thanks

If its not working properly than replace it...no use playin around with it and "makin" it work...I'd rather replace it. :D

I've got 4 ecotherms, they are fairly cheap and I've not had a problem with any of them.... <touches wood>.
