Im thinking of getting a few guppys...

What is the best way to stock them?, M/F or more than one female to one male?.

Also are they compatible with my fish at moment (the tank list is below!!).

Thanks

Dan

hi there.
yes they can go in your tank
it all depends if you want to have fry or not.
all males if not if you do then i would go with 1male 2females
:good:

Im thinking not for the time being, I dont want to overcrowd the tank (although Im not really sure how many fish I can stock in my tank!)....

I may get some females for the Rio 180.....(When I finally get round to buying it!!)

If you want all males, it's best to have at least 5 males to spread out the aggression. You need a big enough tank too, and some hiding places - areas for them to have their own territories.

With all females, they are much more peaceful than the males, however - they can still have fry after being seperated from the males. The fry will probably get eaten, depending on the tankmates, but it's just something to be aware of. :)

If they are just to look good in your tank, I'd go for all males. They come in an amazing variety of colours.

I made the mistake of having males and females in a community tank and as soon as you see the fry and they are being eaten, you have to try and save them. You can't help it. So I'd spend ages hanging my net over the tank for the little guys. Guess what, you then get inundated with them and have to get another tank to keep them in.....

Anyway, that's just my opinion.

5 male guppies would just about fit in your current tank but I wouldn't add any more fish until after you've upgraded :)
