Are cherry shrimp safe in an oscar cichlid tank

I'm going to be getting an Oscar soon and I'm looking for some scavengers to help keep the tank clean and thought since cherry shrimp are so smal they might not be on the menu

I’m being advised cichlids will feast upon my new snails if I were to add them to tank. Won’t!

For something big and messy like Oscars would best clean up crew just be have enough flow to try and majority of poo sucked into filter?
