You deffo use an i-light or a halogen light - one or the other. The i-light is deffo worth getting imho. I have my baby biorb on my bedside table and it never keeps me awake unless sand gets in the filter (it's modified and quieter than the standard biorb set up)
Best tip for the i-light is to turn it on at the time you want it to come on. I have mine set on the 5 flashes programme (14 hours of 'daylight' with night time moonlight). I set it to come on at 9am (ie I plugged it in at that time and set the 5 flashes) and it goes off at 11pm. It sounds like a long time for lights to be on but I don't suffer from any algae problems and my biorbs don't get direct daylight on them at all.
Nice one, cheers for the help. All I have to do is wait for my heater and light to be delivered and then I can set it up.
It was originally gonna be a quick question but never is, lol!!
