There are several species of Archer fish but only these which are Toxotes jaculatrix are seen with any regularity, occasionally Toxotes chatareus is imported amongst shipments of T.Jaculatrix.
I feed them a diet mainly made up of mealworms, crickets and shrimp (live and frozen) though they will also take small pieces of fish, mussel and cockle.
T.jaculatrix is a Australian native found all along the northern and southern coastlines in fresh brackish and marine enviroments.
