Aquatic Magic C2 Reg

Hey guys,

I'm pricing and browsing for a co2 regulator and solenoid.

So far I am considering Aquamas or Aquatic magic - both via ebay.

Does anyone have any experiences with either of these guys or gems of experience to share.

This morning I purchased a couple of items from aquatic magic, so will let you know how I get on. One thing I will say from experience is that it is well worth submitting a "best offer" rather than buying it now.

I have the exact co2 system you have linked with Aquamas i've had it running for two weeks now and it seems a good cheap system, you can certainly tell that its not a high end system but as long as you take care in setting it up i rate the aquamas system.

You could get the same kit cheaper from here and they seem to be more reliable than aquamas, who have been a bit of a problem recently.

I have just used aquaticmagic myself and he's good, but the plants were very dead on arrival, but full refund (including postage) given on sending photo proof. Would highly recommend the pH drop checkers.

Which ever you chose, the important thing is to source a supply of CO2, getting the cylinders refilled seems to the bane of peoples planted tanks in the UK, most LFS only do JBL cylinders and places like air products and Boc cost a fortune for rental.

Thats why I chose a reg which uses disposable then if I ever find a place that will refill, I pay £13 for a converter! 600gm bottles for about £7 each I can live with!

So far from Aquatic Magic I have bought:

Egg shaped glass drop checker
Rhinox 2000 ceramic glass diffusor
Gamba XIII glass bubble counter and non return valve
Fissidens Zippelanius
Mini Pellia

All the glass is awesome and working well
The plants that came although a little on the small side portion wise are great and are starting to grow on well.

Im now waiting for:

Phillipine Java Fern
Tiger Lotus Bulb
3 way Manifol (for 3 Nutrafins)
