Any aquascaping experts care to offer any clues on the best silk / artificial plants up to 28" in length, does anyone make artificial floating plants? (I know all plastic plants float this is not what I mean).

Plus I need some ideas on the best artificial plants, bogwood and stone (or even best artificial stone) sources - I don't mind getting from anywhere in Europe or even the USA if they are good.

Need to scape a 78" long x 24" wide x 30" deep tank (tropical).

The tank will have Pettex Red Coroline natural gravel 1.5" deep - (because I already have 40kg of it and it is too expensive not to re-use so I am buying another 50kg of it)

I need some ideas too for fish that like to hide i.e. the Clown Loaches and the Plec. I had considered making a cave that would accommodate all of them but it seems that because of the fishes ultimate size that this will take up too much aquarium real estate to do, so ideas for making hidey holes welcome - do they really need logs and caves or is plant cover enough?.

If anyone has any ideas about plants that look good together that would be appreciated too.

Hi,

I got some silk Ruscus Jungle Plants (for reptiles) - see http://www.petsparade.co.uk/reptiles/decor-plants/ near the bottom of the page. They have a sucker on to stick to the back/sides of the tank and come in different sizes (great if you've got fish that love digging plants up - foils their plans).
