This hobby just seems to explode bigger and bigger for me-- what a ride when I decided to make aquariums the concentration of my AP Art Portfolio . . . unfortunately that means doing about 12 pieces . . . well, I'm up to the challenge . . .

Yup, yup . . . those are all different tanks, and I have more work ahead of me . . . in fact I just set up another 2 gallon tank at my school today with no filtration, plenty of plants, and placed under the flourescent hood used by the school to sustain terrestrial plants for various biology classes. I'll probably end up doing 1-2 more similar tanks at school, and completely re-do some in the photos just to get more pieces for the concentration. Including the 20g algae infested moss pit that is my red ramshorn/shrimp nursery (the red cherries recently spawned, yay!! Crystal reds doing ok too . . .), I'm currently working with 6 tanks . . . :X

Then again, I don't have the WORST case of MTS on the board . . . lol

anyway, comments/constructive criticism welcomed of course!

Yup, yup, and I have to do more before the portfolio is due . . . *looks at wrinkled fingers* guh . . . maybe I'll do some non-planted with just wood and stones to get around the hastle . . .

Stay tuned for more photos unless my hands fall off.

Tie riccia to a snail!? That's hilarious!! And do a closeup of the snail for the photo!!

I'll find some rare apple snail, and include nothing in the tank but it-- and tie riccia and moss all over its shell, and maybe inserting some glosso, fern, and anubias cuttings into the moss/riccia! Where's the aquascape? It's on the snail . . .

do a feng shui tank............and leave it totally empty!!

EDIT: by the way.........all of your tanks are fantastic...keep the pics coming!

Whoa is that last pic the ten gallon? That's a pretty big change in appearance :|

Great tanks and good luck with the portfolio.

I have an AP Art too, lol.

I love your tanks, they are really nice.

But I dont understand why you need 12 tanks, or what ever, lol.

Because you need 12 concentration pieces for a portfolio ;)

Very, very awesome work. I wish my tanks looked like that!

Thanks all!

Yup, need 12 pieces for concentration, though I might not make all of them planted tanks.

lovebuzz-- yeah, that's the 10g. I ended up ripping out the moss carpet in to use the moss for my shrimp breeding tanks, so things had to change a bit.

Interesting...

Yeah it would be good not to do all planted tanks, it's based on aquascaping so really you should show all types and not just planted.

I would love to see an african cichlid tank or something :D

Actually, my next project is a nano-terrarium thing. Not reptiles, it's going to be a killifish puddle basically. I bought a pair of N. Eggersi today, and they will occupy a small half-filled tank with anubias growing in and out of water. A hang on filter (like a penguin) will be attached to the back, and the out flow will be positioned so that it falls onto the emersed anubias.
