Aquarium Water Turned Very Cloudy

I have a well established 90 gallon aquarium that's been running for a year and a half. This week, the water has turned very cloudy white. My last cleaning ( on sunday ) I did not change any filter media, so I don't think I could have caused a mini-cycle, and I haven't been feeding my fish any more than I have for the entire time the tank has been running. I do a 20% water change at least once a week, more often twice a week.

Any ideas what could be causing this?

No, I haven't. I have been using fertilizer, but I've been using that for months as well.

Yes, and the fish don't seem in any discomfort at all.

No, but now the water has turned green, so it is an algae bloom. I've left my lights off today, but I'm not sure what else to do.
