Hi. I've got some friends that just bought a Regent/ Aqua-Tech 29 gallon aquarium kit from WalMart. The heaters that come in the kits are made by Aquarium Systems. They look similar to the Visi-Therm style heaters, but they aren't. I think they are basically the same only a generic version. My question is, does anyone know if they are submersible? They look like they are to me, and they do not hang on the tank as hang-ons do. It doesn't say anywhere on the packaging or in the documentation or on the Aquarium Systems website if they are submersible or not. I was just looking to see if anyone has one and submerges it.

Thanks.

If its the standard tank heater that looks like THIS
then yes it is submersible

Hi. Thanks for the reply. The heater doesn't actually say that it is a Visi-therm, however it's made by the same parent company and comes in similar packaging. I was just wondering if anyone had one of these kits from WalMart and has submerged the heater without it blowing up.

i wasn`t naming that brand just that style heater the glass test tube style ones, and yes it is submersible, how else would you expect it to work?

Have you tried contacting the manufacturer?
