Just a quicky!

Are lead strips ok to weight my plants down? They keep popping out of my sand! Will the lead hurt my shrimp etc?

Most bunched plants are sold with lead strips around them and you can buy a roll from most lfs.

No probs! The weights come in handy for a myriad of fishy related things so always handy to have!

Maidenhead aquatics usually sell a small box of them, looked like 15-20 for a quid

According to the aquastones website the lead does poison the water, but other people think it is pretty harmless. I don't know the answer myself.I got the aquastones for aesthetic reasons rather than worrying about lead.

i managed to pick up a large run of plant weight strip from my local pet store, he reeled me some of his own set, and charged me a £5,
ive used it to hold plants, airline, and floating bogwood,
it comes in handy everywere
