Hello all.. I just wanted to see if any of you use Aquarium Maintenance software and if so, what programs do you all recommend?
Sean

What would this software do? For me, I keep all logs of what I do in Excel, as well as other laundary list related to aquarium keeping. I'm curious how a software could help... ;)

Do you mean things like PH monitors, SG monitors and stuff like that? You can get modules that fit together in the form of a sort of program but its incredibly expensive.

Yea..like something to record PH readings, ammonina - all of the tests you give - something to keep track of trends in the water. Excel is the best bet I guess. It would be nice to keep track in case you need to troubleshoot a problem, you can look back in the tank's history for trends that could have led up to a problem...

Ah i see.
I thought you meant something tht monitors and alerts you where tehre is a problem.

But just to keep records then i use Excell :D

I'm not sure what OS or Platform you are using. I recently found a program for Mac OS X that lets you track lots of tank stats in addition to tracking and profiling individual fishes progress. However it does not seem to provide for corals and such. It will also graph the aquariums stats as well. It also will set up reminders and schedules for you.

The program is called Maquarium. It allows a free month limited trial. To use all of its capabilites it costs $15 USD to register.

I'm not sure if there is a PC version out there but this is a good program for any Mac users out there.
