Moved fish and plants into a bucket and got the tank draining completely. I'm going to use the 10g to hold my fish in while I attempt to reseal the 20g.
Somehow, with God's will, my parents are not mad at all... Wish me luck!

Remember when I said my parents said they would get it and we all agreed I would buy everything else besides the main tank?
Well... The conversation came up about that and apparently they "don't remember that conversation ever occurring". 😑
I was very upset... They literally don't remember. I knew I should have kept reminding them so they wouldn't do this 🙄
Anywho... Now I have no idea when I'm getting the 40g.
Very upsetting setback

when's your birthday...hint hint?

Petco has open tanks half off right now. No lid or anything, but if you end-up needing a new 20 gallon, they are about $28. The 40 gallon breeder is $60.

Good luck. I hope you can get it repaired.

It cost me about $16 in silicone, albeit with a different dollar, to fix a leaking 30 gallon last week. If a new 20 is 28 at Petco...

Then you seal the leaker, and 20+20=40....

I don't know how old you are exactly (and you don't celebrate birthdays) but part time work is the road to teenaged fish equipment. Once you start, you're stuck with it for 50 years, but my first steady, 2 day a week job while studying bought some nice fish gear, along with the practical things. it's kind of liberating not to have to ask family, especially if like most of us, they aren't swimming in money.

I'm going to be getting a part time job after I get my permit hopefully... I have an appointment scheduled with the DMV late April

10g one day after setup

I think I should test ammonia/nitrites just to make sure... The filter media and sand should have a lot of BB but just to make sure... It'll be a busy day though so idk...
I actually think it looks nice, so that's good. I glued the plants to the wood and rocks
