Aquarium Cover

I need some suggestions regarding my DIY aquarium top. Its had up of sal strips nailed to form a crosshatch cover. I have a problem regarding the lightning method. How to improve this ?

i'd suggest getting a tube light for it. would look alot better as it would cover a bigger area than a spot light.

i would get a hanging light its a ling tube one finished in silver and i think you can get them from ebay for around about £30 and i would put a condensation cover over the tank just to stop any thing falling in as a prevention method
