Hello!
I recently moved house and bought a lovely new stand, however, it doesn not appear to be wide enough by 1 cm each side. Pic:

Should I be worried about this? I read most places that it is the corners that need to be supported...... :S

IMO thats nothing to worry about. Just because of the fact it doesn't really overhang the thickness of the glass.

How big is the tank tho?

Cheers guys. Yes, I have a 31 Gallon tank.

The only problem is, that I also have an issue with my soft floorboards - even when you walk softly past the tank, the water ripples. So I think I better move it to another part of the room........ :unsure:

You may want to confirm your which direction your floor joist go ie

---------------- | |
---------------- or | |

you might find placing the tank along the joist going across your room ie
----|++++++++| ---------
| tank |
----|++++++++|-------

check your loft and your floor joist will be at 90o to them.
