Are LED moving to replace normal tube lighting?

I suppose that with LED, you dont get the same drop off in spectrum as you do with tubes, as they get older?

Yes I will be buying some more LED units to completely replace the T5's.

Correct, TMC state they can run for 50,000 hours before they need to be replaced.

Hi mate, how many more are you planning to get? For performance to cost I dont really rate the aquarays. If you plan to get quite a few and to lose the t5's why dont you save up the money and get a complete LED unit? There are some decent ones out there nowadays.

True and I see what your saying but I dont want to go the route of a open top aquarium so the aquarays are perfect because I can just screw them to the hood of my tank and also with the T5's connector I can put 4 strips were the T5's went.
