Aquarays Arrived :)

Got reef white aquaray aquabeam ultra 600 duo today, to tired to install them now so will put them in and post some pics tomorrow.

They are bigger and heavier than I expected.

they do give a lovely shimmer effect, i fancy adding a few to my halides to do a sun up dun down type routine. What other lighting are you planning on using? what you keeping under them?

I have 2 t5's as well but am going to buy more aquarays and eventually get rid of the t5's but not for some time.

ime each aqua ray is similar in output to oe T5 tube, so another couple and you could get rid of the T5s imo

brilliant well I was aiming for 2 white and 2 blue (duos)

I mounted the aquarays this morning and connected them, #92### they are bright and the shimmer it gives is amazing. I did take some pics which I will put up later but I had to pop out to work for a bit

I'm not sure I agree with this Ben, mine certainly dont seem as bright as t5s when on the tank

I tested mine today just t5's then just aquaray's. I would say they are not as bright on their own but if you had more than one it defo would be. However with the aquaray's and t5's on the tank looks amazing, I have taken some pics but they just dont do it justice.

I find it difficult to take photos with the aquarays on, all the glitter!

Here are a few pics and a short video of my Xenia coral and full tank under the lighting.

As people who have these will know the pictures really do not do them justice, it is a lot brighter and the shimmer is a lot better in the flesh so to speak.

You wont be disappointed, they work well and are silent.
