Aquapro Filters

Has anyone heard of, used, or know anything about Aquapro external filters. The guy in my LFS says they are very good, and like Eheim only cheaper, but I wanted to check with people who aren't making money out of me first!!!!!

OK, I've found out a little more about them, they are made by Superfish, and here is a link to the shops site and the picture etc. Aquapro 4
I would really like to hear from anyone who has any experience with these filters.

did you ever get one of these filters,what is it like, i am looking at them and penn plax filters on ebay both same price sound the same but cant find any info on either of them.

When you say external I am assuming you mean canister filter. I have an Eheim and a Fluval filter (on different tanks)....I find the Fluval much better to use than the Eheim....easier to setup....easier to change the filter media....cheaper media etc.

I did get one, but I sold it with the tank. However, when I had it, it was very good. A pain in the neck to prime, but once it was set up and running, it was really good. I used fluval ceramic pre filter in the bottom chamber, with a coarse sponge on top, then ceramic bio media, then floss in the top chamber, I had crystal clear water and no ammonia/nitrite issues. So you're not tied to using any specific media (as with most if not all cannisters!).
The only problem other than the priming issue, is that it would be harder to get spares for it, but I never had an issue that would have required any, and plus I only live 15 miles from the guy who sells them on ebay out of his shop in Hemel Hempstead!
