does anyone use or have experience with either of the 2 externals? (aquis 1000 & aquis advanced 750)
please give good and bad experiences...... i have won both on ebay at what seems to be a great bargain but know nothing about them as i use eheim and rena externals

i have an aquis advance 1250 and im very pleased with it, have only owned this for a week now but i am still impressed.

Easy to set up, have played with the media and such, done dry runs of maintenance to make sure i have everything i need and im happy with it. The only drawback of the 1250 is the size and weight, its a hefty beast to have to carry to the sink especially if your sink is far.

Thats the only problem i see with it.

Comes with a spray bar also.

Hi,

My first post so hello all!

Ive just got the CF1000 second hand off ebay and ive had no complaints so far apart from a couple of gripes. Its noisy, i mean apart from the usual bio-ball movement these is a drone that echo's through my cabinet. Ive just bought a spare impeller is an effort to quash the problem.

This leads me on to issue 2, spares! Apart from the impeller, stop taps and media there is nothing out there! i really need some new hoses but cant find them!

If you feel you wish to sell it on after my advice......contact me

Hi Croftuz, welcome to the forum :good: i may only need the smaller filter so may well be looking to sell the 1000 on so ill let you know if i do mate. if you pack a piece of foam underneath or on top of the bio balls it should stop them moving as it will trap them in place. i would probably put it under so the water is filtered before it reaches the balls to stop any or as little muck as poss sticking to them. clean balls are good balls............!
try aquarium parts for spares, they stock all aquaone spares. im sure they can help you out
