I am getting a SuperDelta Betta this Saturday (for those who havn't heard yet 
) and have been preparing my matured and rescaped AquaOne 380 (see signiture)
The current from the trickle filter was bothering me as it was quite strong but I have almost completely stopped it!
Using 3 sides cut from a 4ltr Milk container I fed it between the filter housing and light housing. As I slid it down it curled around the slots where the water flows from and toward the rear of the tank. It rests about 6-8mm away from the slots so it doesn't block them. There now is practically no current visable and food just hangs mid water for ages. Water is being drawn up and through the filter and deposited back into the tank at the same rate as it's always done so filtration has not been compromised.
It's wonderful and is now a perfect enviroment for my betta (anyone using or intending to use this tank for a betta wanting pictures just ask)
