Aquagiant...anybody

Hello ppl

Im thinking of getting a new tank my limit is around 1000 CAD.. i recently found a place call aquagiant (www.aquagiant.com). They have a 75 gallon tank for like 900 with stand and canope etc.. the filtration unit is built into the canope which i am unfamiliar with. It seems like a pretty sturdy tank.. and its cornerless too which is really kool.. my question is has anybody heard anything or expirienced anything with this Brand of tanks? I look forward to reading your posts.

Never heard of them. I had a look at their website, (man is it slow!), but could not find a 75 Gallon model. Those I saw looked plastic/acrylic which personally I don't like, there are others that swear by them of course.

With filters built into the canopy, bear in mind that the space they use up cannot be used for other things. This may not be a worry for you as you don't say where you want to go with the tank. For me, as a planted tank keeper, anything that gets in the way of more lighting in the hood is a serious problem. I also have grave doubts about the efficiency of these inbuilt things and would always prefer one or more external canister filters.

That said, I am not in Canada, so I don't know what else you have available at what prices.

Woot a reply. actuall there is an a$$load of space in that hood. But also I am worried about the effciency of that filter. One thing im going to check out is if there is a spot to add a canister filter as a suppliementry system.
