Just curious if anyone has ever bought via AQUABID and who'd they suggest for another interested party in purchasing from...


E.g. who on AQUABID did you find trust worthy

If it's bettas that you're looking at buying I would not buy from 84elmo2001, samthemaster, leahs_aquatics or petfish. I have had great transactions with nascar24, bullelk696, crackedglass, and Bts. I have yet to order from overseas sellers directly yet. Another person great to deal with is Jennifer on Luv my bett website. I have bought off of her website before. She sells on AB sometimes and is also a transhipper for overseas sellers.

If you are only looking for a pet, he's ok, I guess. His fish are a lot worse quality than he lets on. Also, the fact that he sells the same kind of fish under different names is unethical, in my opinion. He overinflates the price of some of his fish to try and trick newbies into thinking they are better than they are (saying some fish are "show quality" when they really aren't). I've just heard way too many bad things about him. If you just want a cute fish, and have no intentions of breeding...well, he might be alright. Some of the fish he has are definitely cheap enough to get pet bettas for.

You know the funny thing is about a year ago I used to look at her/his auctions cause I thought the bettas were really great looking. Then I go back about a month ago and I was wondering what happened to all the bettas he "used" to sell. Meh...I dunno

tropicalsnails is a very good seller when she has fish up. wildmagiclady and ruth are both good. i have purchased from samthemaster twice now. the first time the fish were of excellent quality. the second time i wasn't buying for breeders, but one of the 3 males i got is very nice and goes well with my blue marble female. on the other hand he has been known to atleast once send the wrong fish(which i do not condone in any way mind you), and does tend to sell rather young fish. depending on what you are looking for he is a nice guy to work with, but do use caution with him.

My problem with samthemaster (besides what happened with wildmagiclady) is I got 3 fish from him. They looked good when I got them so I left his pos. feedback. The male was dead within a week and the teeny tiny girl I got was dead soon after. I can't prove there was something wrong with them when I got them...but I know I did everything right for them and I never had that happen with other fish I received.
I forgot about Wildmagiclady and Ruthcatrin. I've never bought from them...but I wish I could!! They are wonderful ladies.

I have used Aquabid and bought from Grandbetta thru KGbettas (Transhipper). and the experience was very easy and fish arrive from thialand within 3 days of posting.

im sorry you lost the fish you got from him. i bought 9 fish total from him, and all of them were healthy and happy. like i mentioned before just use caution when buying from him if you do, and dont be afraid to ask him questions.
