I just checked aquabid after a long time and it seems like the betta there are getting more and more like, lame(at least with the pks). For example, this one http/www.aquabid.com/cgi-bin/auction/auc...&1189994005 its like, what the hell, its a veil. All of the 7 dollar ones now and even some of the higher priced ones are like super common , ive been seeing those in my lfs since like last year and they only cost 3-4 bucks a piece. Its like most of these people now are just buying them from their lfs and selling them on aquabid to unexperienced fishkeepers because they dont know better. Whats going on here??

That's probably exactly what's going on.
People buying up the petstore ones and trying to make money off of those who don't know any better.

Yeah Ive noticed the same thing Dorkhedeos. I took some time away from aquabid, went back and noticed that some of the better sellers had some really lame fish. I have seen some really beautiful ones, I just got four =P, but some are just terrible.

i would'nt call any fish 'lame', they are still living creatures, not ornaments.

Well, i wouldnt say the actual fish is lame. The fish is cool and all, but its like, what the hell, you are charging this much for one that you can find and order from a lfs? I am starting to think that aquabid is gonna get overrun with high priced fish that are of low quality.

actually, if it had it's tail cut (as speculated) then it would indeed be a lame fish.

just looked thru some of the pks just now. ALOT of wild type males, like the male i used to have. alot of males with "meh" colours. but my got im in love with some of the marbles!!!!!
