Would an Aqua One Betta Trio tank work as a possible breeding-hatching-fry grow out combination? The fry would then move into a bigger tank before entering the community one. Mainly for Medakas? Possibly for WCMMs?
I’m asking as it’d fit perfectly into the only area I can set aside and seperate breeding, hatching, grow outs, hospital/QT isn’t possible.
Some sort of suspended/floating container would obviously be reqd for the hatchery targeted feeding aspect due due to the shared water level and filter scenario.
As I say just thinking out loud. All thoughts and opinions welcomed.

Stay safe.

i would rather not do that, as it supports "betta abuse" as the name of the product says

EDIT: i did not know that your tank was bigger than the one below.... m y bad

Mmm.....had a look at the specs, says it's 32 litres. I'd want that much per tank for useful quarantine/ hospital tank so I feel that it's too small if it's 32 litres in total. May work just for grow outs though.

I’ve a 25L for QT.
I’ve not got the room for that AND a breeder and/or hatchery and a grow out. The only time I’ve seen any Medaka eggs were towards the end of their quarantine. Since they went into the main tank zilch.

I kept my Betta CT 7 years in 38 liters densely planted with low current and catappa all the time after I saved him from a strong fin rot (aged 1 yo). So I think that less than 20 liters a Betta is abuse, even if too many breeders grow Betta in 3 liters.

Hello :)
How many liters is each tank ?
32L total.
55x25x25 CMs. (22x10x10 inches) total size.
It’d be Medaka only and theyre 32mmish full grown.

In with WCMMs, Zebras, Cherry Barbs, shrimp, snails and possibly some rescue Corys and Rosy Loaches in the future 5 or 6 foot community tank I’m not holding out much hope for breeding.

Commendable. As you say, breeders grow bettas in 3 litres, this is temporary. They're in there for a short period of time as they grow enough to be sold to their permanent home which is usually more than 3 litres if the buyer has done the research before purchasing there fish. Thus, not abuse.

I don’t have a Betta. I would never have a Betta. If I did I wouldn’t keep it in anything less than a 30G. I’ve no intention of keeping any fish bigger than two inch in any tank I ever own.
“Betta Trio” is Aqua Ones brand name for their 3 in 1 tank. It’s an awful looking thing to even think of keeping Betta in.
I’d be putting 2 or 3 Medakas in it every now and then in the hope of some eggs appearing. Then they’d be back into the community tank which will be something like 250L 60-70G with their eggs moving into the next compartment then growing initially in the third compartment before moving to a 120L/30G then to the future community tank.

hmm, maybe put their young in it instead of putting the parents in... just my opinion

@EllRog in your opinion not abuse, in mine, abuse.
How many buyers has done some research before purchasing there fish ? 1 in 100 would be nice ! Given pet shop seller ""advices"" I have doubts... sellers sell, that is all, unfortunately. Only pasionnate people do researches.
