Aqua One 500 Filter Question..

Ive got a aqua one 500 filter (the old one) and the pressure coming out the spray bar is poor anyone now why?

I've just cleaned the whole filter out and set it all back up again and still the same?

Theres a open and close twisty thing on top of the head of the filter and had a little play with that and doesnt make no opps which way i turn it, its still the same, could it just be that the filter is pants??

Do you have a lot of media in the filter? It all depend's on the media.You have to look at the advertised flow rates from manufacturers as they will be without media. Take the fx5 for example it advertises a pump output of 2300lph yet it will actually produce far less than that. The fluval G6 pump output is 2500 lph yet only delivers 1000Lph with media but offers highly efficient filtration due to the amount of media it holds. So if you filter is holding a lot of media then it may slightly restrict the flow rate but means the filter is more efficient and doing a better job

Just to add if it's usually more powerful than it is right now then it could be air locked?
