I currently have a 10 gal tank with 2 - Lemon Tetras and 3 - Danios. I'm currently using an Aquaclear mini filter which seems to be working fine. I have a brand new Aqua clear 200 which is good for a tank up to 50 gal. Would it be o.k to use this instead of the the mini filter? I'm assuming that it's impossible to have too much filtration. Would it make any difference? Would it allow me to add more fish to my tank? Any advise would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Try it and see if your fishes can handle the current. If they can, then sure why not. AC200 does have the flow rate control, so if necessary, you can set it to lower level. I believe you can go down to 1/3 of the full flow, which works out to be even lower than AC Mini at max setting. ;)

im using a AC 200 on my 10 gallon betta tank and it keeps teh water clean (i even have it at half power)

it worked excellent on my 32 Gallon which i had as a community so it should do more then the job
