Aqaurium Moonlight

After seeing this I decided to build my own moonlighting, looks great, and best of all it was made from bits I had lying around.

what did you use to make this? would it have been expensive if you didn't have the things lying around?

Those are very cool. I wanna get some too. I dont know if they will affect spawning, but I think the idea is so you can enjoy your nocturnal fish. The ones that are most active after you turn off the lights.

Just type in aquarium moonlight under ebay and they come complete
but there not cheap... 50 bucks maybe

I just checked ebay and found 2 led lights for 4.99 There for a car but they will work.. because of how bright they are i think 2 would work

This might be a stupid question but I take it that as they're LED's you can use them even if you only have a 1 bulb hood?

How do you attach them to the hood?

They look cool!

YOu have to make some kind of plastic strip they sit in and set on top

Does any one know how to connect led lights to an adapter and what kind of adapter to use?

I just bought some Led but dont know what to hook em up 2

You need to know the specifications of the LED and you need to use an appropriate resistor based on that and the voltage of the mains adapter you wish to use. Then you can just wire each LED in parallel, each with its own resistor.

I made one of these back in march. It came out great. I still have some LEDs so if anyone is interested in me making them one send me a message and we can work something out.
