Aps External 2000Lph Or Tetratec Ex1200 ?

Well i ordered the tetratec ex1200 from Pet supermarket. £83 then i used the £5 off £79 code on savoo to get it down to £78. 5% quidco too and free delivery . I figured if i get the 6/7 foot tank i can always get an extra filter or two when the time comes.

seen a lovely one on N D so just have to get saving

Welcome to our club!

was just about to say "i'm in the club" i didn't even consider the Fluval as i saw a comment that they were like having AIDS over a little cold

Might have to get myself one of these I have the APS 1000 l/h and the flow rate is rubbish I was going to get their 2000 l/h but for the sake of £18 I might just get the tetratec as so many people seem to rate them.

the x1200 is £83.41 on pet supermarket ( you have to click on the x600 picture to go to the list of tetratec filters) there is a £5 off code which is SAV79 to get it to £78.41

and a 5% off code and5pet which i think has no minimum order and is handy if your spending more. first code is good till the 31st the other code is ok till april i think

forgot to add 5% quidco too

Well it arrived today. hopefully i can get it set up later and get that awful internal out

Good choice imo, I've got the AP2 2000EF and I really don't rate it all that much. The actual filter compartment is fine, but piping/spray bar sections are pretty terrible.

I had a hailea and god was it crap, it cracked and flooded my living room, i'd only had it 3 months. the lid was awful as was the flowrate. i have 3 internal APS filters and they are great. the big APS bio one is so good but it takes up too much room in the tank. i'm keeping in my little 1200 lph APS internal one in with the new tetratec as i have my air pump attached to it and its well cycled. i'm going to put in cycled media in the new one too.

the aps internal one was a life saver when my external broke but from now on i'm done with cheap externals, its so not worth the worry and damage that's caused when they go wrong.
