Well, as expected, the Betta of the Month is full of incredible shots. So many deserving bettas. But treefrog 3, Spirit, is in a class by itself.

Treefrogs is ABSOLUTELY gorgeous, the best shot Ive seen of a betta yet. Itso dramatic, I agree with MH, its in a class of its own.

Although you shouldn't vote for people based on the image quality (since most of us can't afford the more expensive cameras) trêefrog's picture is simply amazing.

with me... treefrog put it on a black background with photoshop or something did he not..

Although I can't guarantêe trêefrog didn't use photoshop (crop, touch ups), that picture is very achievable, provided you have the right equipment. This is as quoted by a fellow hobbyst: "Fast shutter speed, Low aperture -> ~F8 and external flash will produce picture like one above. It will produce a "blast" effect, create a black surrounding and eliminate any light around the object."
