apple snail issue

should i be worried about this, i’ve never seen my snail do this and i’m not sure what it may be, i looked over at my tank and noticed him like this and then about 30 seconds later he came back out, what is the orange and yellow thing?

Maybe getting ready to lay eggs?

that’s what we thought as we have had this snail for over a month and it hasn’t layed any eggs yet, but we also asked out fish store why that would be and he said most likely because we keep out water level so high in the tank!
