My Girlfriend has an apple snail that laid to sacs of eggs in her 30 gall tank. However the eggs were laid on some of the plastic plants in the aquarium and are well below the water line.

I am worried cause I read that the eggs with drown if they are not out of the water. Should she jsut remove them from the tank and keep them outside of the water or are they ok underwater? I need help here. THe eggs are a pink color.

My apple snails have always laid their eggs above the water line. Here's a link that discusses apple snail reproduction. It says do not leave them below the water line, because, like you said, they will drown. I wouldn't know where to move them. :dunno:

The eggs and snails within are undoubtably now dead, I suggest you remove it from your tank as it will pollute it very quickly. Make sure they have enough space above the water line to lay their eggs and better luck next time! :)
