Apple Snail Acting Strange

does anyone know whats happening to my ivory apple snail?

i saw it at the bottom closed up and upside down..so i put him right...then over about 30 mins it had tipped itself upside down... it done it a few times over the course of yesturday and today - and i kept putting it right..

at about 4pm today it was upside down again so i put it right... i thought..maybe its dead or something
but when i came back an hour later it was happily crawling up the side of the thank - it sat up near the surface munching on alge for some time

now it is closed up again at the surface

is it dead? or sleeping -

i have other snails in my tank and their all acting normal

Hn, sometimes my snails close up like that if they fall, by accident.. a sort of fear response. Perhaps your snail fell, and you caught him all closed up... and when you went to go right him, all the jiggling simply scared him all the more, convincing him staying indoors was the right call.

My snails float on occasion, I think it's just one of those... you know, snaily things.

hehe thanks - ill keep that in mind...i cant see it this morning..so its obviously hiding from me XD
