This is why I wont be buying one, at all:

Considering that you won't be using the iPad for anything but apps, eBooks, and the internet, that's plenty of processing power. Now, if you were to me using iMovie, or Word, that would be different. I am disappointed with Apple though. I was hoping for something a bit better.

I too, was hoping for a "netbook" killer. but, its, first gen. and there are a whole host of products, like this, from the big companies to come.
first thing to do is, dump apples need to add built in batteries, with short lives.or, more probably, just buy one from someone else.

i dno, theres something good about the ipad, i agree to the point that it doesnt look anything new, but that larger screen sure would come in handy watching movies...

But it's not fit in your pocket portable. You can just plug it in to your cars stereo system because it's to big, there is no where to put it.
