hi all

i've just dismantled and relocated my tank and in the process found an aponogeton bulb buried deep in the sand. it's still quite firm so i don't think it's rotted. can i just replant it and hope it grows or will i need to rest it. i've heard that sometime these bulbs need to be stored in damp but not wet soil for a period prior to planting

No sure, but if its been in a tank for a while, would seem sensible to put it straight back, as it'll be used to the conditions.

If I remember right some species do need a dormant out of water period but most don’t. Most of them just go dormant in the water and then start producing leaves again. Usually after flowering the ones I've grown go dormant for a few weeks.
