Apistos

which apistos? Would they be a pre-mated pair?

10g might be a bit small for an un-mated pair to co-inhabit.

personally I think 10g is a bit tight on space for a pair. 15g would be the minimum and probably 20g+ if you wanted a harem of several females.

Seems fine to me, I don't know if the tank is big enough for a pair of apistos, but I keep a rather boisterous young firemouth in a 37 gallon tank with khulis and a bunch of tetras, and he doesn't want anything to do with the khulis, but he does chase the tetras around now and then.

so even though khuli loaches are extremely shy and skittish, I do a better job at scaring them by simply moving than the firemouth has done at scaring them since they've been in the tank. I'd say compatibility in your tank is just fine. All that needs to be known is if your tank is big enough or not.

A 10 gal is far to small to keep a pair of apistos I'm afraid. They are real territorial and in such a confined space one would dominate and stress the other. Usually this prolonged stress results in death.

I have apisto aggasizi, the cories are refugees in another tank. I've had some that are fine, but the current male really, really hates them.

As long as there is enough cover and plants to block direct line of view, by the way don't want to hijack but is anyone interested in 2 adult macmasteris unsexed?
