Apistos In The Community Aquarium

Just got an ID on these from a member of another site:

they're originally a German line bred colour morph of Apistogramma agassizii that you now find everywhere under the trade name of 'Fire Red'.

A lot of them have been turing up in the UK over the last few months, coming in through one of the Czech wholesale fish suppliers.

Which sounds about right.

Did you see their GBR's? Nearly abandoned the apisto idea entirely and got GBR's instead.

Cool. They should look stunning once they colour up. You won't believe how vibrant the female looks when they start spawning.

Fingers crossed, am looking forward to when they do start to spawn.
