Hi,

I have recently setup some breeding tanks to specialise in breeding Apistogrammas as I often finf these fascinating fish diffiecult to get hold of from shops.

I presently have the following species with some babies already... :D

1. Apistogramma Cacatuoides "Double Red"
2. Apistogramma Agassizii " Double Red"
3. Apistogramma Hongsloi II
4. Apistogramma Viejita II
5. Apistogramma Borelli "Panatal"
6. Apistogramma Macmasteri "red Mask"
7. Apistogramma "Red Point"

I presently have babies growing up for 1. 5 and 7. from the list above and would like to know if anyone would be interested in some when they grow up.

Hi and welcome Apisto_uk2.

Theres some nice fish there :) I have kept some of them in different morphs over the last few years after I sold a large Discus tank :( . I still have some Cacatuoides triple red and double red, some of them juvies from my first pair. I also have Hongsloi 'rotstritch' and have kept macmasteri, viejita's (little monsters!), borelli and a few others that are getting increasingly hard to find these days.

Unfortunately I had to part with my little tanks too, and now have one large south american tank and an asian/crab tank but am working on cunning plans to get more tanks fitted under the stairs :) so I might partake of your offer in the future :)

Good luc with breeding them, I'm too busy with work to keep the low TDS and conductivity to breed some of the more challenging species, but my cacatuoides still spawn occasionally and I get a good discount on frozen foods for them, I'm not holding my breath about giving up the day job to breed the little guys yet :)

Looking forward to hearing about your fishes, and hopefully some pics?

You can check out some of my more recent apistos (and some cute fry :) ) that I have kept since I bought a digital camera a year and a half ago, on my gallery in my sig below.

Also if you do no live to far away from me would it be possible to come and photograph them.

Mmmmm... Apistos.

Where abouts are you based apisto_uk2?

I have triple red cacs, and some Inca50 from Peter (nice to see you here Peter :) )

May well be interested, if I can persuade SWMBO that a fifth tank is necessary.

Ian.

I'm here and nice to see you too.

It's one of the problems with apistogrammas one spiece one tank or at least for breeding.

Oh to have my shed.
