Hello all. It seams my Api test for ammonia is showing hust off yellow. It is causing me a little concern. anyone know if this is a problem. I have cut down on the feeding to try to get it bright yellow again.

Some of my plants have died off just a little so it might be that.

Any advise at this stage would be welcome.

Looks absolutely fine to me.
I'd only worry if you see a green tint in there, which I don't.
I use th same master kit by the way, and find you get slightly different readings in different lights (e.g. different colour if u test in from of a window in daytime, compared to under a yellowish lightbulb in the evening).
Anyway, from that photo it seems your ammonia is zero :good:

no probs, thats about as close to yellow as you will get, the reading is fine

Color looks good to me. As mentioned, as long as there isn't any green tint you are good. How long was that photo taken after you actually added the drops? It says to wait 5 minutes but usually if you wait longer than that, the color gets off.

I have found the same thing - sometimes, depending on the light, it seems to be just a shade or two off. The one time I really had ammonia, boy did I know it, it was very noticably green.

i always use light from a window when doing water tests. i find that it's easier that way to read the correct shade of color.
