i may be wrong but i thought silver sand was just regular sand?
if it is, you can get 15kg argos play sand for £2.99
regardless, have seen on here that lots of people use the argos sand

dont use it i used to have it in my 27gallon and water was alway cloudy from day i put it in to day i bined it and all glass under sand level gose all brown sludge

i agree, certainly looks like normal sand.

this is argos play sand which i put in about an hour ago

Argos play sand is by far the cheapest and best sand you could get at the moment . Just ensure you rinse it VERY thorougly before you put it in your tank or you will end up with the cloud that the above poster is talking about . I've used it for nearly 2 years with not one single problem

That sand in the pic above looks really white. They pic on Argos' website looks really orange. Do they do different colours?

no theres only one i think its to do with the bulb, coz in my other tank it looks kinda 'wet sand' colour, if you know what i mean, and i have different bulbs in there

i have used aquarium sand and ive used argos play sand aswell. i know its cheaper but i prefer the texture of the aquarium sand. it just seems a bit finer and i find it easier to clean as it doesnt seem to "grip" the debri and poo. what about this stuff
