I took my 7 C. Trilineatus from my 55G display tank to a 10G (US) tank for breeding purpose. I personally feel these fish are very timid. I was wondering is anyone out here have spawn this fish successfully can share a picture of your tank setup with me? Thanks in advance!

Hi there

My 11 trilineatus are in a 55 gal community tank,3 of them spawn quite often,i've around 27 fry in a different tank with a further 10 eggs due to hatch today
Looks like more eggs on the way has i type...
They don't seem to lay more than 10 eggs at a time, which is fine with me,maybe its because they're still young.
4 of my 11 are juvi's growing up :)

I've never found my cories timid, more full of amusement and activity
Have a read of this http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?showtopic=165155 ,it will tell you the set up needed for breeding corys :good:

Thanks for your information. I have read that article before I asked the question.

Now, do you keep other corys in your 55g? I do keep 5 other kind in my 55g. I thought it will be helpful to trigger them to spawn if I give them their own tank. But I am just not that certain that this is a better idea. I guess I will give them a few more weeks before I move them back to my 55g. Thanks!

I also have skunks and pygmys cories, along with harlequins, platys & guppies. What other fish do you have in your 55 gal?
Just wondering if theres fish in yours making your trilineatus timid?

I'm hoping my skunks will spawn, but i think they need a temp of 22 degrees to encourage them to spawn, that means dropping it down from 25,so i'll leave it at the moment :)

Good luck with yours :good:
