Anyone Sell Or Know Where I Can Buy African Dwarf Frogs?

I would like to buy one or two. I can only find one place online with a ridiculous delivery charge. Does anyone her sell them or know where I can buy them online?

surely there must be somewhere local to you, why not place and ad on gumtree asking for some.. but of course be careful to ensure they are actually ADF i know someone that had 2 big horrible frogs that were hellbent on eating the fish that they shared a tank with lol

No I live in cornwall and only saw some 70 miles away. Yeah I wanna be sure I am getting dwarf frogs. I'll keep looking

- - sorry but the person who know who experienced this is actually the "horrible" part of this scenario - - they did not do proper research and the animals suffered for it.

It is recommended that both african dwarf frogs and african clawed frogs (those big "horrible fish eating frogs") be kept in species only tanks for the happiness of all species involved, whether fish of amphibian.

Such situations are easily avoided if the person buying the living creatures puts any effort whatsoever into researching proper care and requirements.


and to the OP - - keep your eye out, I am sure you will be able to find them. Also try asking your local pet store if they can order them for you. To be honest, buying them from a private breeder and having them shipped is going to cost more than buying commercially and having them shipped because private shippers do not get a discount on rates like commercial shippers.

Just use the time you spend looking for them into doing more research and properly setting up and cycling a tank before you buy the frogs

They nearly always have them in my LFS in Launceston, marie; that's a bit closer (it's about 40 miles I think).

It's Homeleigh Garden Centre; they have a really good aquatic department.

Well, I say good; they still sell those plastic starter tanks and tell people to come back in three days for shubunkins, but what shop doesn't? At least the guy had the decency to look embarrassed when he saw me behind the lady in the queue

No, it is pretty good; great selection of fish (they're very good for marines and Rift valley cichlids but have a lot of the 'nano' fish too).
