I don't mind frogs, I think the aquatic ones are pretty cool, at least that way they can't escape!! As a child I 'lost' several frogs in my house (we had a pond in the garden), my mum was not best pleased to say the least! I couldn't understand why they did not want to stay in the shoe box... sorry it probably sounds awfull cruel but I was about 4 and knew no better!! I used to find flies you know the ones dead on the window sill on hte inside of the window and tie em to staples and go fishing for frogs... never caught one :p With a shrimping net I managed to catch many some of them were whoppers!!! Ok... sorry I got sidetracked!!

Ya, frogs are ok. I do agree with you though william, the aquatic ones are better, they are more like fish that way!

And ya, who hasn't treated frogs badly as a kid. I know for a fact that frogette accidently killed a few when young and said they were sleeping so she kept them in a plastic container for a week. It smelled soooo bad when the box was open!

Anyway, ya frogs are cool.

LOL frogette, it seems u have a lot of secret admiarers ;)  :p

Hey!!!...Great Lakes!!!,

I don't mean to be rude  , but you eating frogs is just CRUEL!!! :grr:

I mean't do you like frogs because they're cool, not because they taste good!!! :-(

Here is a question about frogs....

Are there any kind that get along in a tropical fish tank? My roomate said he has seen albino frogs swim right along in a tank for a long time without a problem.

I would feel bad because it seems like they would want a place to sit outside of the water.. but he said that they are ok with just swimming around all the time?

Dwarf frogs are all-aquatic, no land, they are good, small, and peaceful!

You may want to hear from "frog queen" though!

Hi Doohic722,

Dwarf frogs are very good in tanks. They don't need any land to survive. :)

Incase you were wondering, dwarf frogs eat fish food that falls to the bottom of the tank. :p

Hi pondfreak,

I used to have a pond with two frogs. At night they rested, and during day they hunted. Sadly, we had to get rid of the pond because our dog (Dexter) was drinking the water from the pond and became sick.

We also had a toad. Every day in the summer, we would take it out of the tank and let it roam around eating ants.

Thanks frogette (you can call me Doohic)

Would you think that a dwarf frog would be something good to have in a fresh tank or should I wait untill its broke in?

Also are they common in lfs/lps? I guess I should just call around..

Thanks for the info.
