Hey guys,

When i eventually move im gonna be getting a bigger tank and im very keen on getting a snowflake moray.

Just wondering if anyone here already owns one and what tank you got the animal in?

Any behavour issues? Feeding Habbits? Hardy or not? Those kinda things.

I already have experience with nano reefing n such so if you have any worries about experience shouldnt be a problem.

Ive read somewhere that some morays are kool with 30gallons minimum.

Thanks for any help

Some morays are cool with 30 gallons, but snow flakes aren't. Expect 2 feet from the fish as a minimum, probably more (max size is 100cm, so more than 3 feet). 30 gallons is ok for the morays that get to around 1 foot in length.

Snowflakes (Echidna nebulosa) are one of the nicer morays and least likely to go after fish. Their natural diet is inverts so keeping ornamental shrimp and the like is always going to be a risk, though most well fed morays are extremely lazy hunters. They are generally considered one of the easier morays to keep.
