I need to fill out my tank with plants. I'm not currently fussed what they are, so long as they are happy in a 'low tech' set up. Just want additional cover for the fish.

The Last Trading Post on eBay has 100 random plants for £2o.....anyone purchased this from them before? Any good?

Prob will be ok, you'll find tho that if you get a lot of stems then 100 isn't that much, you usually get like 5-8 stems in a pot so it might be ok, luck of the draw really when they select them and pack them.

When I set up my dutch scape i'm gonna go with them.

don't bother mate, there has been numerous people ask for ID's on the plants they receive from these and 50% tend to be non aquatic. If you wants something on the cheaper side, then have a look at plantedtanks.co.uk

that's very disappointing! Had faith in them to be reliable. Will take a look at that website....

oooh, a very similar deal on offer

you could email Tony and ask him what plants they contain, he's a nice bloke and should be very obliging. I expect they will all be aquatic. But, you could run it passed us first.

for TLTP or plantedtanks?

I really dont understand why non-aquatics are sold so often. Saw a fresh batch of Dracena (spelling) in my LFS today....why???

Tony at planted tanks.

The non aquatics are sold...1 because they look nice and 2, because they are actually Riparium plants and do well under those conditions. Many LFS staff don't know this.

but TLTP seem to do it (and should know better) and you are saying I should double-check the list from plantedtanks here first, just in case. It just doesnt make sense to me why any 'aquatic' plants are sold that are not.

plants alive are also good and GUARANTEED TO BE TRUE AQUATIC PLANTS

I highly recommend Last Trading Post. Excellent Quality, and never tried to sell me a non aquatic!

Planted tank is really good, its so reasonable aswell, potted plants for £2ish check out their low tech section

i have brought plants there before really good quality and i was also looking at that same thing u were 100 for £20 im not sure to go for it either. ive got a low tech set up and dont want to spend that much if there not gna stay alive.

I thought that the Last Trading Post would be fine.
Amazon Aquatics in Warminster, is "the last trading post" on Ebay. Mike is a fish keeper with a shop, not a shop-keeper with fish.
