I am wanting to add a second external filter to my 60 gallon tank with the possibility of actually removing the fluval 304 which is on it at the minute. I was looking at an ehiem classic 2217 but thought I would have a quick look around and see if i could find anything else for a similar price and found this. The reviews seem pretty good the flow rate is slightly greater than the 2217 and you get a better range of media. The reviews seem pretty good with the only small complaint being a slight noise but after the 304 I think I will cope.

I no it is wrong to skimp on these things and I am pretty impressed with the the 2213 I use on my other tank but at the same time it is a decent amount of money that I would safe.

Jebo is the China version of most products. Keep in mind, that they don't stand behind any other nations copyright laws, hence they can do the voodoo that is Jebo. Basically, they're knockoffs of companies products. Will they work?? Yes. Once I found out how they were designed...I won't use them, as I don't think it's fair to any business to do that.

I own the Jebo Oddysea CSF-4 (or something like that, can't remember the exact name) I got it for $50 US shipped to me and I am really happy with it. It's only been about 3-4 months that I've had it and it continues to work well and quietly. I was surprised by its abilities but was willing to take the chance on it. For me it's paid off. I would much rather spend $50 on an external than $50 on a power filter that wont hold as much media and filter as much.

I run the jebo 809 and have to say it is fantastic.
the flow rate is great and can be adjusted (via the taps) if it is too great for your tank,
and it has 5 media baskets, which is unrivalled to any other brand.

Charterhouse give great service and are always speedy on sending out orders.
go for it, you won't regret it.

all I know about them is they are made in Taiwan and Dymax no longer have a website.
it makes me think the company has either been brought out or liquidated.
Personally I'd choose a know European brand (Tetra, Eheim, Jebo, Aqua one, Supafish, etc) over any far eastern brand.

Mmm, do see a lot of Dymax lightning and skimmers around here. No filters though. I was offered one here in Mexico (by a regular shop), but have not been able to get any references. By the way; I though that Jebo was also Asian?

I own a Jebo 838 External Canister Filter which i purchased from China for approximately 40 bux Australian. Cheap as if you ask me but that doesn't reflect its filtration ability. I am extremely happy with my Jebo as it keeps the water clean and is also super quiet. Also since it is so cheap even if it does have any minor faults in it after time, it would be easy and affordable to replace. Overall i think its a really good investment

interesting darkwolf, however
LAC must be under licence to produce the JEBO for the UK market.
in other words we are both correct :)
