Firstly, Mods I apologise for the Ebay link, I know its not really allowed, but I am just looking for help and info if thats ok?

Found a rather good sounding filter on Ebay but there is no actual name on it for me to look it up. Just wondering if anyone here has one, or has used one and if it is any good. Or knows what the name of it is?

Thanks

Looks wise its very similar to a tetratec ex externals,

Edited to add -but probably not has good.

My advice, cheaply built unknown filters tend to break easy, save your money and get a well known brand one that you know is good quality such as fluval, eheim etc

I've been looking at these as well - seem to fit a nice bracket of low price high turnover but have to agree with above I'm waiting till next pay day and getting me a fluval :)

Minefield really lol cheap and get the job done and hope it works or expensive!!! oh decisions. I bought a brand new tetratec air pump, lasted 4 months now tetratec wont replace it because I bought it off the internet!!

They look very very similar to the tetratec ex range of filters, but I should imagine they are not built as well. I would save your money and buy a better known brand, purely for the fact that you will get reliability. The last thing you want to do is wake up and find your tanks contents all over the floor. Saving a few pounds now could cost you the earth later.
